Vera Mungai

Vera Mungai is the Finance and Strategy Director of Moran Capital Management Ltd. She began her career in the Insurance Industry where she was offering Actuarial Services and later transitioned into the Investment Banking industry. Vera was headhunted by one of the leading Investment Banks in Kenya, Kestrel Capital and for the next 12 years, she successfully carried out a number of roles in Corporate Finance and Advisory, Corporate and Retail Equity and Bonds Trading including Fund Raising and structuring Employee Stock Ownership plans (ESOPs) for leading listed companies on Nairobi Securites Exchange including Safaricom, Scan Group and Equity Bank.

Vera played an integral role in the deal structuring team for companies that were listing for the first time in the Nairobi Securities Exchange and raising additional capital through rights issues, debt and private placement.

Vera is a Nominated Advisor of the Nairobi Securities Exchange and has amassed extensive experience in her career engagements in Corporate Finance, Wealth management, Finance and Risk Management.

Vera has an Honours degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Kent in Canterbury and has attended several Executive programs in Leadership and Entrepreneurship, as well as offering training, to numerous C Suite Executive Development and Support Programs.
